Dresden fevers for chess

From 20th March to 3rd April Europe’s best women fight for the titel “Queen” and chess friends of every age and sex from all over Germany fight for the Sparkassen-Jungsenioren-Cup and American-Amateur-Cup. Altmarkt-Galerie Dresden has real royal visitors from 26th-27th March. World’s best chess player Gari Kasporov autographs his new book „My great Predecessors 2“ in the afternoon of 26th March and answers questions of his aficionados
The extraordinary talent of the new genertion Falko Bindrich (13), most successfull German under 14 years, challenges on both days the old master of Dresden GM Wolfgang Uhlmann (67) to compete a “Duel of the Generations”.
Besides that, Falko invites the audience to take part in a challenge with virtuell enemies on the Net. You get information about the successfull work with the new generation in chess from teachers of the sports grammarschool, members of the sponsors of Infineon-Schach-Juniorteam and chess clubs in a talk.
Enjoy a show with music dance and games organised by Sportsax and the living chess ensamble from Ströbeck on 27th March. In the Chess-Garden in the basement of Altmarkt-Galerie you can have a game on the Garden Chess and on lots of boards. Have fun!!
